I graduated from law school at Queen’s University in 2005 and subsequently joined one of Canada’s top business law firms, Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, as a summer student, articling student and later as an associate at the Toronto and New York offices.

I initially focused on corporate and technology law at Osler, and later transitioned into Osler’s renowned franchise law practice group. My practice included complex M&A and securities transactions, working with large enterprise technology clients on technology license agreements, outsourcing agreements, RFP’s, regulatory applications and other corporate work.

In 2009 I joined Canada’s largest commercial real estate company, The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited, as Director of Legal Services. As in-house corporate counsel, my practice covered a variety of disciplines, including managing purchase and sale transactions for Class ‘A’ shopping malls and office towers, negotiating and drafting master service agreements, license agreements, RFPs, outsourcing agreements, service and supply agreements, MOUs, NDAs, development agreements, JV arrangements and providing all manner of in-house legal advice.

I left full-time practice in 2013 to focus on my own businesses endeavours and continue acting as director, investor and legal counsel for several start-ups and small businesses. I formed Keystone Law in 2016 to formalize my freelance law practice. I also practice law in association with Axiom Law for various clients in Toronto.

I am fully insured through LawPro and in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada.

In the early 2000’s, I toured North America as a musician and songwriter, often opening for prominent US and Canadian groups. My band had a number of videos in regular rotation, charted in top ten on Canadian rock radio and I composed and recorded songs that ended up in several TV soundtracks and marketing campaigns.

Over the last decade, I have developed my other passion, real estate, accumulating investment property portfolios in Kingston, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan.
