What personal information do we collect, disclose and use?

Personal information is any information that identifies you, or by which your identity could be deduced. Personal information does not include your name, business address and business contact information.

How do we collect your personal information?

In virtually all cases, we collect personal information that you voluntarily provide directly from you, both at the start of a retainer and in the course of our representation. Sometimes we may obtain information about you from other sources, for example, a government agency or registry or your accountant. We do not employ any means of automatically collecting personal information from any visitor or user of our site or from their computers. Note, however, that our website may contain links to other sites, which are not governed by this privacy policy.

Consent

In most cases, we will ask you to consent, if we collect, use, or disclose your personal information, except where otherwise permitted or required by law. Consent may be provided in writing or orally or may be implied through your conduct with us.

Keystone Law does not disclose your personal information to any third party to enable them to market their products and services and we do not sell your personal information under any circumstances.

Disclosure of your Personal Information

Under certain circumstances, Keystone Law will disclose your personal information: (a) when we are required, authorized or permitted by law to do so; (b) when you have consented to the disclosure (express or implied); (c) when the legal services we are providing to you requires us give your information to third parties your consent will be implied, unless you tell us otherwise; (d) where it is necessary to establish or collect fees; (e) if we engage a third party to provide administrative services to us and the third party is bound to treat your information as confidential; and (f) if we retain other law firms at your request, and on your behalf.

Remarketing

In connection with our marketing efforts, we use Google AdWords remarketing to market our site across the web. We place a cookie on a browser, and then a 3rd party (Google) reads these cookies and may serve an ad on a 3rd party site. You may opt out of this ad serving on Google’s opt out page.

Is My Personal Information Secure?

Keystone Law takes reasonable precautions to ensure that your personal information is kept safe from loss, unauthorized access or disclosure. Among the steps taken to protect your information are: (a) premises security; (b) deploying technological safeguards like security software and firewalls; and (c) internal password and security policies. Note that e-mail is not a 100% secure medium, and you should be aware of this when sending personal or confidential information to us.
